We are pleased to confirm that music specialist tutors will be delivering instrumental lessons to year 7, 8 and 9 together with GCSE Music students from year 10 & 11 at The Telford Park School from Autumn 2021 on a variety of instruments including guitar, drums, keyboard and brass (Year 7 only).

If demand is high, you may be placed on a waiting list. All students inclusive of those taking lessons previously must complete a form. Telford and Wrekin Music have been delivering a variety of instrumental lessons into schools since 2007.

We offer 30 weeks of free lessons (1 academic year) to those children eligible to free school meals in line with the council’s remission criteria and free lessons for children in care. Any pupils that do not qualify for our free lesson offer can still access instrumental lessons free of charge via school funding, please mark on your application ‘school funded lessons’. Students wanting to participate in instrumental lessons will be taught in small groups of 2 (20 minute lesson) or 3 (30 minute lesson). Timetables for lessons will be on rotation to avoid instrumental lessons coinciding with the same academic lesson week on week. Key stage 3 lessons will take place during the school day, however for GCSE Music students, these may be after school to avoid students missing curriculum lessons.
